Prayer to the Sacred Heart for the Conversion of Sinners
Devotion to the Sacred Heart, rooted in the visions of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 17th century, centers on Christ's burning love and mercy for sinners. This prayer draws on that devotion specifically for the conversion of hearts that have wandered far from God.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, furnace of divine love, have mercy on sinners, on all sinners, and especially on those who are dearest to me. Soften what is hardened, warm what has gone cold, and draw back to yourself every heart that has wandered far from your love. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in you. Amen.
