Prayer to Saint Paul, Patron of Converts
Saul of Tarsus was a zealous persecutor of Christians until he was thrown to the ground by a vision of Christ on the road to Damascus and emerged as Paul, the Church's greatest missionary. That sudden, total turnaround has made him the natural patron for anyone praying for their own conversion or someone else's.
Saint Paul, you were struck down on the road to Damascus and rose again a new man, given entirely to Christ. You who once persecuted the Church became her greatest missionary, holding nothing back once you had seen the truth. Intercede for me, that I too may be open to whatever grace God is offering me right now, however unexpected its form. Help me to turn fully toward Christ, without excuse and without delay. Saint Paul, pray for us.
