Prayer for Adoptive Mothers
Written for a kind of motherhood that too many prayers overlook — the waiting, the paperwork, and then a love every bit as real and consuming as any other. Good for the day a child arrives home, or any ordinary day a mother wants to give thanks for how her family came to be.
Lord, You wrote this family into being through a love that did not need blood to make it real. Thank You for the long wait that finally ended in a child, and for the love that grew before we ever met. Give me strength for the ordinary days and tenderness for the harder ones, and never let my child doubt how deeply they are mine. Bless this family You have made in Your own surprising way. Amen.
