Prayer to the Holy Spirit for Wisdom Before a Decision
For the moment right before you have to decide — a job, a move, a relationship, anything with real weight — when you have weighed the facts as best you can and now need something more than your own reasoning. Say it slowly, then sit with the silence for a minute before you act.
Holy Spirit, Gift of wisdom, come to me now. I have thought this through as honestly as I can, and still I am not certain. Clear my mind of fear and of wanting only what is easy. Help me see what is true, not just what is comfortable. Give me the courage to choose well, and the peace to trust that choice once it is made. Amen.
