Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes for Healing
In 1858, the Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous at a grotto in Lourdes, France, and a spring there has since become one of the world's most famous sites of pilgrimage for healing. Millions have prayed this petition asking Our Lady's intercession for illness of body and soul.
O ever Immaculate Virgin, Mother of Mercy, health of the sick, refuge of sinners, comfort of the afflicted, you know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings; look upon me with mercy. When you appeared at Lourdes, you were pleased to make it a privileged sanctuary where many sick have been cured. I come to you with unbounded confidence to submit to you my requests. Deign to grant my prayer, if it be for the greater glory of God and the good of my soul. Amen.
