Prayer to Saint Peregrine for the Sick
Saint Peregrine, a 13th-century Italian friar, is said to have been miraculously cured of a severe leg affliction the night before doctors planned to amputate it. That healing has made him the traditional patron saint of those facing cancer and other grave illnesses.
O great Saint Peregrine, you have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the numerous miracles you have obtained from God for those suffering with cancer and other serious illness. You yourself suffered much in your lifetime, yet bore your afflictions with great patience and trust in God. Ask of God the cure I need, if it be His holy will, and above all obtain for me a share of your great trust in God amid suffering. Amen.
