Prayer to Saint Raphael for a Safe Journey
Saint Raphael's name means "God heals," and in the Book of Tobit he disguises himself as a fellow traveler to guide Tobias safely on a long and dangerous road. This prayer leans on that specific story — asking Raphael to be a companion on the road itself, not just a healer at the journey's end.
Saint Raphael, glorious archangel, you guided young Tobias on his journey and brought him home again in safety and in joy. Be our companion now on the road ahead. Guard us from every danger, seen and unseen, keep us steady in body and calm in mind, and bring us home again to those who wait for us. Saint Raphael, faithful guide, pray for us. Amen.
