A Traveler's Blessing
Written as a simple send-off for a family member or friend heading out on a trip, rather than reciting a historical formula. Meant to be said aloud over someone at the door or by someone praying for a loved one already on the road.
May the road rise gently before you. May God's hand steady you at every turn, and his peace ride with you the whole way. Keep watch over this traveler, Lord, and bring them home again, safe and unharmed. Amen.
