Grace Before Meals
This short blessing has been prayed before family meals for generations, often taught to children as one of their first memorized prayers. Its simple Latin-rooted phrasing ("Bless us, O Lord") has changed little across English-speaking Catholic households.
Bless us, O Lord, and these thy gifts, which we are about to receive from thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
