Prayer for a Family Reunion
Family gatherings carry a lot — joy, old history, and sometimes tension between people who love each other but don't always get along. This prayer is meant to be said before a reunion, wedding, or holiday gathering, asking God to soften what needs softening and bless what's already good.
Lord, we are gathering again as a family. Thank you for every person who will be at this table — for the history we share, the love that runs deeper than our disagreements. Where there are old wounds, bring healing. Where there is tension, bring patience. Where there is distance, bring us a little closer. Let this time together be full of laughter and genuine joy, and let everyone leave feeling that they belong to this family, and are loved by it. Amen.
