A Prayer for Comfort in Loss
Grief rarely follows a schedule, and sometimes the simplest, plainest words are the easiest to pray when a heart is heavy. This short prayer was written for exactly that moment — no theology to work through, just an honest ask for help getting through the day.
Lord, my heart is heavy today. I don't need answers right now, just Your presence. Help me get through today, and if I cannot manage today, help me get through this hour. Hold the people I love who are grieving alongside me. And when I am ready, help me find, little by little, a way back to peace. Amen.
