Prayer for Peace in a Family Conflict
For the ordinary but painful strain of a fight with a parent, sibling, or spouse that has left the house feeling tense and words feeling sharp. Say it before you walk back into the room, when you want to want peace more than you want to be right.
Lord, this home does not feel peaceful right now, and I do not know how to fix it on my own. Soften what has gone hard in me, and soften what has gone hard in the ones I love. Give me the humility to listen before I defend myself, and the patience to let this take longer than I want it to. Where I have caused hurt, let me be honest about it. Bring peace back to this family, in Your time. Amen.
