Prayer to Our Lady Undoer of Knots for Peace of Mind
Devotion to Mary, Undoer of Knots, grew from a 17th-century German painting and became widely loved after Pope Francis promoted it. The image is simple — Mary patiently working loose the knots in a ribbon — and fits any tangle of worry, regret, or complication that seems to have no clear way out.
Mary, Undoer of Knots, you who patiently untangle what our hands and hearts have knotted, take this worry that I cannot work loose on my own. You see every thread of it, even the parts I cannot explain. Loosen it gently, in Your time, not mine. While I wait, hold my mind still and let me trust that it is already in Your hands. Amen.
