Prayer to Saint Nicholas for Financial Need
Long before he became Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas of Myra was known for secretly dropping gold coins through a poor family's window to save three daughters from destitution — the origin of his patronage over pawnbrokers, bankers, and anyone in financial distress. This prayer calls on that same quiet generosity.
Saint Nicholas, generous bishop of Myra, you gave in secret to those in desperate need and asked nothing in return. I come to you now in my own financial need. Provide for me as you provided for the poor of your own city, open doors I cannot see, and give me the patience to trust while I wait for your help to arrive. Amen.
