A Simple Grace to Open the Day
This is shorter and plainer than the Morning Offering — no formal dedication of the day's works, just a quick word of thanks for waking up at all, said standing at the kitchen counter or still half asleep in bed before the day gets moving.
Thank you, Lord, for this new day. Thank you for the gift of waking up, for another chance to love and to try again. Bless the hours ahead of me, bless the people I will meet, and stay close to me in all of it. Amen.
